who did you report to at your placement?I had four general managers who gave me directions and helped guide me to improve myself. |
Where are they located?

WHO DID YOU ALSO WORK WITH AT YOUR PLACEMENT?When I started in September, 2016 I only knew one person who I went to school with. As I approach my two years working here, I have grown to like and enjoy working with all of my coworkers |
I work at Clubhouse BFD as a hostess. My usual in time is usually 4:30 or 5 and I leave anywhere around 9-10pm. Every day we will have 6-10 servers and a hostess and a busser. I control the wait list, seat people, and alert servers of their tables. Our target audience is hungry customers who come to drink our ever changing craft beer and to eat our variety of burgers and salads. We try our best to correctly quote a wait time based on the amount of people that are ahead of them but sometimes that can be difficult.
How has this benefited you? This experience has benefited me by allowing me to improve my communication skills, have patience with all things, and keep calm in situations that can be stressful. |
Business History
We have been at this location since February 14th, 2012. Before that, there was a Rams Horn and we used to be located next to East Side Marios. 2 years ago we demolished East Side Marios and now we are in the process of building our own brewery. The Griffenclaw brewery is owned by the Clubhouse BFD owner so there is no competition.

What you Observed
I will not work in the food industry after I graduate college because it can be a stressful and demanding environment. All people that have worked in the food industry has developed a "customer service" voice to make customers happy.

Possible Changes
There could be some positive changes implemented into Clubhouse BFD. One change that I would suggest is more defined end times of shifts. There are days were I could be told to clock out when in reality I could have stayed for another hour.

ABOUT ME
My name is Brittney and I plan to further my education at Wayne State. Through my first semester in Co-Op I was able to work in Crittenton Hospital which solidified my hope to become a nurse. I was accepted into Wayne States Nursing Program. I am visiting France in June 2018 which I am thrilled about. I hope to travel the world in order to expand my view of the world right now. I am grateful I had the opportunity to work in the areas that I did because it made me more sure of what I wanted to become and what I did not. Mrs. Malsbury will take care of you and provide you the best possible opportunity that you are interested and field you want to explore.
